Activities

Most activities are based around the water.

Fishing is about as good as it gets. You can fish or crab in the mangrove sided creeks or go for the bigs ones in the Hinchinbrook Channel. 50 klms from end to end with hundreds of klms of creeks. All are yours you won't see crowds or houses. Just pure wilderness.

Go hiking on Hinchinbrook Island. You do need a permit if you are going camping but not for a day trip. Hinchinbrook Wilderness Safaris run regular shuttles to the island. (07) 4777 8307.

There is a really nice 9 hole golf course just 10 minutes away at MackNade. Cost is just $6 a round. As there is no club house or staff you will need to bring your own golf clubs, etc. Payment is through an honesty box.

There is also a bowls club just near the golf course.

You can, of course, always just hang out by our two pools.
